The City of Emerson is currently accepting application for a full-time position:

Administrative Assistant

 

This position represents the City in direct contact with citizens on a daily basis while performing a wide variety of administrative duties.  This position will be responsible for answering phone calls, greeting visitors and customers, mail distribution, filing, typing, copying, scanning, accounts receivable, and supports all functions of the City Clerk’s Office as assigned. This position requires organizational skills, police and professional communication with staff and visitors.  

 

Successful candidates will have excellent communications skills and computer skills including Windows, MS Office products and Google products, be detail-oriented, maintain a neat and clean appearance, use common sense problem solving, be able to multitask and meet deadlines as assigned.  Must possess a valid Georgia drivers license, a high school diploma or equivalent GED and pass a pre employment drug screening. This position is usually required to sit, walk and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. A full job description is available upon request. 

 

Starting salary is $16.00 per hour.
